1) Who we are (Data Controller)
The contents of this website are managed by Menini Sergio (“we”, “us”, “our”).
2) Our “Holistic Web” approach
We have intentionally chosen not to use advertising trackers (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, remarketing, profiling, or similar technologies).
We collect and use only the data necessary to:
- manage orders and payments,
- ship products and handle returns/warranty claims,
- respond to questions and customer support requests,
- comply with legal and tax obligations.
3) What personal data we collect (and when)
We may collect the following data only when you provide it to us (for example during checkout or when contacting us):
- Identification and contact data: name, email address, phone number, billing/shipping address
- Order data: purchased items, order notes, shipping details
- Support data: messages sent, warranty/support requests
- Payment data: where automated payments are available, we do not store your full credit card details on our servers. Payments are handled by payment providers (see Section 6).
In addition, as with most websites, our hosting provider may process technical data (such as IP address, device/browser information, and server logs) for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability purposes.
4) Why we use your data (purposes) and legal bases
We process personal data for:
- Orders and delivery (performance of a contract)
- Customer support (performance of a contract and/or legitimate interest)
- Accounting, invoicing, tax and legal compliance (legal obligation)
- Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest)
We do not sell, rent, or transfer customer lists to third parties.
5) How long we keep your data
- Orders, invoices, and accounting records: generally 10 years, as required by Italian tax/accounting laws.
- Warranty/support history: for as long as necessary to manage warranty and support, after which it is deleted or anonymized where possible.
6) Who processes your data (service providers)
Your data may be processed by trusted providers only for the purpose of delivering the service:
- Hosting & infrastructure: Aruba S.p.A.
- Payments: PayPal and cards, where available
- Accounting/tax support: external tax consultancy firms
- Electronic invoicing / tax authorities: Agenzia delle Entrate (for electronic invoices / tax compliance)
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. In such cases, we adopt the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses), where applicable.
7) Cookies and similar technologies
We use only cookies/storage that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website (for example: cart, checkout steps, security, and language preference).
We do not use cookies for:
- advertising, remarketing, or profiling,
- cross-site tracking,
- “marketing analytics” that identify the user.
If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will request your consent before activating them.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location (and within the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may request:
- access to your data,
- rectification, erasure, restriction,
- portability,
- objection (in some cases),
- withdrawal of consent (only where processing is based on consent).
You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, including the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
